Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced HR Generalist for a contract role in New York City. You will cover onboarding, employee relations, performance management, engagement, HR analytics, and special HR projects.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in HR, strong communication, and HRIS experience with UKG Pro preferred. The role requires a blend of people-facing and operational responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 4+ years of Human Resources experience, ideally in broad HR Generalist role.
• Experience supporting onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and engagement.
• Strong HRIS experience; UKG Pro preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR leadership and managers to support onboarding, employee relations, performance management, engagement, and HR initiatives.
• Coordinate the onboarding process, including documentation, orientation, introductions, and HRIS entry.
• Maintain accurate employee information and HR records with confidentiality and data integrity.
• Serve as an HR resource to employees regarding policies, procedures, and HR questions.
• Support employee relations matters and performance management processes.
• Coordinate and manage the internship program and serve as HR liaison to departments.
• Support implementation of HR programs and policies focused on engagement and retention.
• Assist with HR analytics and reporting, including turnover and recruitment costs.
• Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and events.
• Support surveys, analyze feedback, and develop actionable recommendations.
• Prepare reports and dashboards measuring effectiveness of HR programs.
• Support training, process improvement, and other HR projects.
• Maintain knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
