Job summary

Baxter Shared Services is hiring an Employment Practices Manager (HR Manager) to lead staff relations, investigations, and policy implementation across multiple states. You will ensure compliance with federal and state laws, manage leaves and unemployment claims, and train leaders on employment topics.

The role emphasizes building credibility, confidentiality, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders while driving business outcomes and employee experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of complex employee relations experience with investigations.
• Knowledge of EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, workers' comp laws and regs.
• Ability to travel to stores across Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado and Wisconsin.
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead response to sensitive concerns and conduct internal investigations.
• Develop leaders on performance management and policy adherence.
• Provide training on employment topics to leaders.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and reporting requirements.
• Manage leaves of absence, unemployment claims, and worker's comp processes.
• Maintain collaborative environment and employee satisfaction aligned to business goals.
• Review pre-employment screenings and guide Talent Acquisition.
• Oversee worker authorization documentation and reporting like EEO1.
