Job summary

Baxter Shared Services is seeking an Employment Practices Manager (HR Manager) to lead complex employee relations, investigations, and policy development across multiple states. This role emphasizes collaboration with store leaders and legal counsel while ensuring regulatory compliance and a strong employee experience.

Key duties include building relationships, guiding performance management, and delivering training on employment law.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of complex employee relations experience with emphasis on conflict resolution and investigations.
• Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations including EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Worker’s Compensation.
• Ability to travel to assigned store locations across multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with General Managers, Store Leaders, and employees at all levels.
• Formally respond to sensitive concerns and conduct internal investigations into misconduct, performance issues, and policy violations.
• Develop leaders’ abilities in performance management and employment-related policies and procedures.
• Provide training on employment topics to improve leadership knowledge of employment law and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with all employment-related laws and regulations.
• Lead or participate in projects on employment-related policies, procedures, and programs.
• Lead or participate in RFP processes for new employment-related tools, training, and vendors.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field

PHR and/or SPHR certification

High school diploma or equivalent
