Job summary

Baxter Shared Services is seeking an Employment Practices Manager (HR Manager) to lead complex employee relations and policy investigations across state locations. The role partners with store leaders to cultivate compliant, fair practices and strong workforce relations.

The position emphasizes training, policy development, and collaboration. Hybrid work is available with travel to Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, and Wisconsin locations to support a broad employment program.

Qualifications

• High level knowledge of employee relations laws and investigations.
• Experience with conflict resolution and performance management.
• Ability to travel to multiple states for store locations.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with store leaders and employees at all levels.
• Respond to sensitive concerns by conducting internal investigations into misconduct or performance issues.
• Develop leaders in relation to performance management and employment policies.
• Provide training on employment-related topics to grow leadership knowledge and ensure compliance.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across locations.
• Manage leave of absence processes (FMLA/ADA) and disability claims in assigned areas.
• Oversee unemployment claims and maintain worker’s compensation processes.
• Review pre-employment screening results and guide Talent Acquisition.
• Maintain proper worker authorization documentation and timely reporting.
