Job summary

Baxter Shared Services, part of Baxter Auto Group, is seeking an Employment Practices Manager (HR Manager) to lead complex employee relations, investigations, and compliance across Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, and Wisconsin. You will collaborate with General Managers, develop leaders, and ensure fair, compliant practices in a fast-paced automotive environment.

The role emphasizes building trusted relationships, handling sensitive cases, and guiding policy execution while offering a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Requires experience in complex employee relations, investigations, and policy adherence.
• Understanding of employment laws and regulations including FMLA, ADA, FLSA.
• Ability to travel to stores across Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado and Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into misconduct, performance issues and policy violations.
• Develop leaders on performance management and employment-related policies.
• Provide training on employment topics to enhance compliance and knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and reporting requirements.
• Oversee leave management processes (FMLA, ADA, disability) and Worker’s Comp.
• Guide Talent Acquisition on pre-employment screening and escalations.
• Maintain confidential handling of sensitive information and build trust across levels.
• Collaborate with legal counsel as needed and participate in HR projects.
