Job summary

Murata Electronics in San Jose, CA seeks an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to drive people strategies, employee relations, and HR solutions within a global tech organization. You will partner with leaders to align workforce planning, performance management, and organizational changes with business goals.

This hybrid role requires strong knowledge of California employment law, excellent communication, and the ability to manage HRIS data, training, onboarding, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational psychology, business administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of human resources experience.
• PHR, PHRca, or SHRM-CP certification.
• Knowledge of California employment laws and employee relations practices.
• Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft applications.
• Strong confidentiality and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders on workforce planning and employee relations.
• Provide HR guidance aligned with business objectives and values.
• Manage organizational changes such as promotions and title changes.
• Audit job descriptions and maintain data integrity in HRIS.
• Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports for proactive solutions.
• Administer performance management and succession planning.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Talent Development on onboarding.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Represent Murata at unemployment hearings.
• Attend evening international business calls occasionally.
• Participate in local HR chapter activities.
