Job summary

ServiceSource in Oakton, VA seeks a Case Manager (Housing Navigation) to help Fairfax County families secure and maintain safe, affordable housing. The role offers a $64,000 annual salary and a hybrid schedule with no evenings, weekends, or holidays, Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

You will conduct housing searches, coordinate with landlords and community partners, provide ongoing case management, and develop person-centered plans to promote long-term independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field with at least one year housing navigation experience; or an Associate’s degree with at least three years relevant experience.
• Experience providing housing navigation, eviction prevention, or housing stability services for HUD-assisted or voucher households, with landlord coordination.
• Familiarity with Fairfax County housing market and FCRHA programs preferred.
• Knowledge of case management practices, documentation, and service coordination.
• Ability to conduct structured interviews, assess needs, and document findings accurately.
• Willingness to travel weekly within the local area and to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing navigation and relocation support: housing searches, affordability planning, move-in coordination, and landlord outreach.
• Deliver participant-centered case management through assessments, monthly engagement, and goal planning.
• Develop and update person-centered plans addressing employment, housing stability, family support, and long-term independence.
• Coordinate with FCRHA, navigators, case managers, EDSs, and community partners for wraparound support.
• Connect participants to resources, referrals, benefits, childcare, transportation, employment, and education; maintain documentation.
