Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group in Massachusetts is seeking a Home Inspection Underwriter to join our Personal Lines team. This full-time, hybrid role evaluates inspections within authority and collaborates with Hanover Underwriters to resolve risk and drive improvements.

You will counsel agency partners on replacement cost, support assigned agencies, and participate in ongoing development through our robust learning programs, supported by comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in home insurance underwriting and risk assessment.
• Ability to counsel agency partners on homeowner’s replacement cost.
• Fosters collaboration with other underwriters and teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Prestige and Middle Market Underwriters to mitigate risk.
• Partner with teams across the organization to ensure accuracy of insured risks.
• Leverage new tools and processes to improve Underwriter experience.
• Work with Sr. Home Inspection Underwriters for skill development.
• Counsel agency partners on replacement cost and provide guidance.
• Support agencies and states assigned, including agency visits or presentations.
