Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. is seeking a Home Inspection Underwriter to join our Personal Lines team in a hybrid, full-time role. You will evaluate inspections within authority, collaborate with other underwriters, and guide insureds on improving risk and replacement costs.

The position emphasizes collaboration, ongoing learning, and supporting agency partnerships across assigned states, with opportunities to participate in agency visits and presentations.

• 2+ years of work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Prestige and Middle Market Underwriters on mitigating risk and navigating property actions.
• Partner with teams across the organization on various projects and initiatives to further develop knowledge of the operations conducted at insured locations; and to ensure the accuracy of the risks we insure.
• Leverage new tools and/or processes that are developed to improve Underwriter experience.
• Partner with more experienced Sr. Home Inspection Underwriters as part of the continued development of skills related to the internal functioning of the Home Inspection Team.
• Ability to counsel agency partners on homeowner's replacement cost and provide guidance when needed.
• Support your agencies and/or states assigned, remaining available for agency visits or agency-facing presentations.
