Job summary

HIMSS is seeking a senior accounting leader to drive a complete financial close, establish robust controls, and ensure timely reporting for the organization and affiliated entities. This role partners with executive leadership to optimize financial operations.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA, 10+ years in finance, and experience with NetSuite, Concur, and ADP, preferably with international exposure. Hybrid work and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; MS or MBA preferred.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• 10+ years in industry or public accounting with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Accounting Department for monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure accurate financial statements.
• Develop and enforce financial policies to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
• Oversee accounts receivable, payable, payroll, and tax compliance with Assistant Controller oversight.
• Coordinate external audits and tax filings for HIMSS and related entities.
• Lead financial system enhancements and manage external vendors (NetSuite, Concur, ADP).
• Provide guidance to CFO/CEO on GAAP and financial reporting.
