Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically, a minimum four years of relevant experience, preferably in claim handling.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manages an inventory of moderate to high complexity and exposure commercial claims following company protocols.
• Provides exceptional customer service by interacting with insureds, claimants and business partners.
• Verifies coverage and establishes reserves by reviewing policy language and working with coverage counsel on complex matters.
• Conducts focused investigations to determine compensability, liability and damages.
• Establishes relationships with internal and external partners to resolve claims.
• Authorizes and ensures claim disbursements within authority limits and negotiates settlements.
• Contributes to expense management by resolving claims efficiently and delivering high quality service.
• Identifies subrogation/salvage opportunities or potential fraud and refers to relevant resources.
