Job summary

CNA Insurance is seeking an experienced individual contributor to manage commercial claims with moderate to high complexity. You will investigate, verify coverage, and determine settlements while maintaining strong customer service and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree, four years of claims experience, and an active Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire. A CPCU designation is a plus, and a hybrid work schedule is offered.

Qualifications

• Typically, four years of relevant experience in claim handling.
• Must have or obtain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire.
• Professional designations (e.g., CPCU) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial claims with moderate to high complexity and exposure.
• Investigate and resolve claims per company protocols and standards.
• Communicate with insureds, claimants, and business partners with regular updates.
• Verify coverage and establish reserves; work with coverage counsel on complex matters.
• Gather information (contracts, statements) to determine compensability and liability.
• Authorize disbursements within authority limits and negotiate settlements.
• Identify subrogation/salvage opportunities and refer to Recovery/SIU as needed.
• Maintain compliance with state/local regulations and company guidelines.
