CDM Smith is seeking a talented Fire Protection Engineer to join our team. You will develop and review fire protection designs, lead life-safety analyses, and ensure compliance with NFPA and UFC standards across federal and commercial projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural or Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
PE license.
7 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Travel frequency contingent on duties.
Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive fire protection designs including water supply, hydraulics, and detailed sprinkler systems.
Act as QFPE for federal projects, providing life safety and fire protection analysis.
Review designs for compliance with NFPA, UFC and local regulations.
Collaborate with sales to create proposals and respond to RFPs.
Mentor junior staff and supervise engineers on project work.
