Job summary

Wilderness Inquiry seeks a Finance & HR Manager to steward financial systems, payroll, and administration for a mission-driven team in Bloomington, MN. This exempt role combines accounting, HR, and office leadership with oversight of a part-time coordinator during peak seasons.

Responsibilities include managing accounts payable, deposits, reconciliations, and year-end processes; overseeing payroll, benefits, and onboarding; and providing budget analysis and forecasting to leadership.

Qualifications

• B.A. or equivalent degree and 2 years of comparable experience; or Associates degree and 5 years of comparable experience.
• Professional experience with Quickbooks Online, Sage Intacct or a comparable accounting software
• Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Manage Financial Systems (45% FTE) including AP, deposits, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Oversee HR and Payroll Administration (35% FTE) with onboarding, bi-weekly payroll, and benefits.
• Provide leadership and backup for office administration, data entry, and customer communications.
• Perform Financial Analysis (5% FTE): forecasting, budgeting, and price setting with teams.
