Job summary

Wärtsilä North America is seeking a Team Leader, Field Service (Electrical & Automation) in the US to lead and develop the North Region Field Service Team, aligning with strategy and business needs for power generation installations.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, and hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance, and control systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar qualifications.
3+ years managerial or leadership experience.
Experience with electrical troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance, and root cause analysis in power/industrial settings.
Familiarity with automation and control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and plant monitoring systems.
Proficiency with SalesForce (CRM), Qlikview, and FS Mobility.

Responsibilities

Evaluate Field Service demand during the year and define appropriate actions to address the need.
Drive the development of electrical competencies within the Field Service team, ensuring readiness to support troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance, and modernization activities across power generation installations.
Ensure that the team is utilized effectively, having the right people in the right place at the right time.
Foster strategic relationships with institutes of learning to attract and develop talent.
Manage and maintain internal and external relationships, focused on achieving company targets.
Facilitate good collaboration with key stakeholders throughout the delivery chain (Sales, Lifecycle Support, Agreements, Technical Service).
Contribute to the annual budget preparation, and service forecast evaluations.
Set the individual performance and development targets of your team.
