Job summary

Grainger, a leading MRO distributor, is seeking a Field Account Representative to manage an 85-customer portfolio across a defined territory. You will meet with customers at their sites, understand MRO challenges, and present Grainger’s value proposition to grow sales.

Job involves extensive travel within the assigned geography, with a hybrid work location. A high school diploma or higher is required, with a preference for associates or a bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of sales experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of sales experience.
• Ability to travel and have occasional overnights (dependent on territory).
• High School Diploma/GED or higher required; associate or bachelor degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a territory plan to assess and prioritize customer needs and meet targets.
• Build and execute account plans to grow customers and relationships.
• Use CRM to manage leads, opportunities, and account interactions; follow up timely.
• Expand customer contacts to uncover additional business opportunities.
• Promote Grainger’s offerings to drive sales while balancing customer satisfaction with profitability.
• Identify business opportunities and present Grainger’s value proposition at customer sites.
• Engage in face-to-face customer interactions to understand MRO challenges.
