Job summary

Lumos Fiber is seeking a Manager – OSP Construction to lead Outside Plant builds across multiple markets. This hybrid role requires regular on-site presence at job sites within market, with the candidate residing within driving distance of Beaumont, TX or Port Arthur, TX.

You will drive safety, schedule, and budget for fiber builds while coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams. You will also mentor staff, optimize processes, and engage with local authorities to support Lumos’s growth

Qualifications

• 10+ years in OSP construction, engineering, or fiber operations.
• 2–5 years leading techs and contractors in fiber builds.
• Proven project management with multitasking to closure.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; valid driver’s license required.
• Experience engaging with governments and communities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accomplish market builds safely, on time, and within budget.
• Schedule and coordinate maintenance, repair, and upgrades of OSP facilities.
• Delegate tasks and empower reports to design builds and track progress.
• Influence internal and external teams to maintain progress.
• Interface with local governments and communities for timely responses.
• Keep stakeholders informed on build progress at all times.
• Provide technical leadership and standardize processes with partners.
• Coordinate with utilities and engineering teams to plan objectives.
• Manage CAPEX, OPEX, and inventory; approve expenses.
• Build and maintain a high-performing team; recruit, evaluate, coach.
