Job summary

Credit Union of Colorado is seeking an External Mortgage Loan Officer to generate mortgage production through proactive outside sales and community engagement. You will build partnerships with realtors and builders, guiding applicants from initial consult to closing with Mortgage Operations.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, a pay-for-performance plan with bonuses, and a competitive benefits package. Prior mortgage lending experience is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; minimum two years of mortgage lending experience.
• Existing referral network of realtors, builders, and community partners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain referral relationships with external partners to grow self-generated mortgage production.
• Promote CUofCO's mortgage products through field visits, networking, and community engagement.
• Develop and deepen borrower relationships to drive referrals and production.
• Represent CUofCO at community events and industry functions to increase brand visibility.
• Meet minimum production: $500,000 or 3 closed-end mortgages per month after 3 months.
