Credit Union of Colorado is seeking an External Mortgage Loan Officer in Fort Collins to generate mortgage production through proactive outside sales and strong referral networks. You will guide members from initial consultation to closing, working with Realtors, builders, and other partners to promote CUofCO’s mortgage portfolio.

The role emphasizes compliance with TRID/RESPA and strong knowledge of agency guidelines, with a hybrid work setup and uncapped commissions that boost earnings beyond

Qualifications

• Minimum two years mortgage lending experience required.
• Existing referral network of realtors, builders, and community partners preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for external sales activities are required.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain referral relationships with external partners to grow mortgage production.
• Promote mortgage products through field visits, networking, and community engagement.
• Develop relationships with borrowers to drive referrals and production.
• Represent Credit Union of Colorado at community events and industry functions.
• Meet production targets (e.g., $500,000 or 3 closed-end units per month after 3 months).
• Guide members through the mortgage process from consultation to closing within LOS and policies.
