Job summary

orsa credit union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential first mortgages through an external referral network. This outside-sales role emphasizes self-driven prospecting without relying on internal referrals.

In this commission-based position, you will build relationships, educate members on home financing options, and close loans while delivering an exceptional member experience aligned with our values and objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of residential mortgage lending experience.
• Ability to obtain NMLS registration.
• Solid understanding of mortgage programs and lending practices.
• Proven ability to develop referral networks.
• Sales-driven, goal-oriented with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop self-generating referral networks to meet sales goals.
• Consult with members about home financing needs and lending options.
• Interview applicants to assess credit eligibility and feasibility of loans.
• Fully complete mortgage loan applications online, over the phone, or in person.
• Deliver exceptional member experiences throughout the mortgage journey.
