Tighe & Bond, Inc. in Westwood, MA seeks an Entry Level Staff Engineer to support our Water Business Line on vital infrastructure projects across the Northeast.

You will help plan, design, and administer construction of conveyance systems, treatment plants, and pump stations while gaining hands-on experience on challenging assignments. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in engineering, are pursuing or have FE/EIT, and bring internships in surveying or design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
• FE Exam passed and EIT certification by 2027 or plan to.
• Internships in surveying, engineering design, permitting, or construction observation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn, curious, organized.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil, water, and/or wastewater engineering design tasks with drawings, specs, and cost estimates.
• Observe municipal infrastructure construction including sewer, storm drain, water, and roads.
• Verify contractor conformance with design drawings and specs.
• Measure quantities and review shop drawings.
• Coordinate with city staff and residents; prepare daily reports.
