Job summary

Tighe & Bond in Westwood, MA is hiring an Entry Level Staff Engineer to join our Water Business Line. You’ll help plan, design, and administer construction of water and wastewater infrastructure across the Northeast, gaining hands-on experience on diverse projects.

You’ll work with a team of water professionals, support capital improvement planning, hydraulic modeling, and asset management, and contribute to sustainable, resilient communities in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
• FE Exam and EIT certification by June 2027 or planning to obtain it.
• Relevant internships in surveying, design, permitting, consulting, or construction observation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil, water, and/or wastewater design tasks with drawings, specs, and cost estimates.
• Observe construction on municipal infrastructure projects (sewer, storm drain, water, roads).
• Verify conformance with design drawings and specs.
• Measure quantities and review shop drawings.
• Coordinate with city staff and residents; prepare daily reports.
