Job summary

Tighe & Bond is seeking an Entry Level Staff Engineer to join the Water Business Line in our Providence, RI office. You will support design, planning, and construction administration for drinking water and wastewater projects across the Northeast, gaining hands-on experience under experienced professionals.

You’ll participate in capital improvement planning, hydraulic modeling, and asset management, with a hybrid work setup and opportunities for professional growth within an employee-owned firm

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
• Passed FE Exam and obtained EIT or planning to by June 2027.
• Relevant internships or experience in surveying, design, permitting, or construction observation.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil, water and/or wastewater engineering design tasks including drawings, specs, and cost estimates.
• Observe construction on municipal infrastructure projects (sewer, storm drain, water, roads).
• Coordinate with city staff and residents; prepare daily reports.
• Review contractor conformance with design drawings and specs.
