Tighe & Bond seeks an Entry Level Staff Engineer to join the Water Business Line in our Providence, RI office, contributing to the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the Northeast.

You will work with experts on planning, design, and construction administration, gaining hands-on experience across hydraulic modeling, asset management, and capital improvement planning. This hybrid role supports professional growth through mentorship and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
• Passed FE Exam and obtained EIT certification, or planning to by June 2027.
• Relevant internship/experience in surveying, engineering design, permitting, or construction observation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn, intellectually curious, self-motivated, and organized.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil, water, and/or wastewater engineering design tasks, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for bidding and construction.
• Observe construction on municipal infrastructure projects for sewer, storm drain, water, and roads.
• Identify contractor conformance with design drawings and specifications.
• Measure installed quantities and review shop drawings.
• Coordinate with city staff and residents and preparing daily reports.
