Job summary

Tighe & Bond's Water Business Line in Portland, ME invites an Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering student to join as a Water Engineering Intern. You’ll assist in planning, design, and administration of water, wastewater, and stormwater projects across the Northeast, collaborating with industry experts in a hybrid work environment.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an engineering degree program, have internship experience, and show curiosity to solve engineering problems.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program pursuing a degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering
• Previous and relevant internship experience
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve engineering problems
• Flexibility, a positive attitude, and open-mindedness
• At least 2 years of completed coursework in a college level academic program
• Previous internship experience in engineering, design, or consulting

Responsibilities

• Support project teams with data collection, analysis, and documentation for our various types of water, wastewater and stormwater projects
• Perform engineering calculations to support our projects.
• Assist staff on a variety of tasks with various study, design and construction projects and/or field assignments
• Participate in Tighe & Bond’s annual Intern Day activities.
