Job summary

The University of Texas at El Paso seeks an Admissions Advisor to guide online program applicants through the admissions process. This role interprets policies, answers inquiries, and disseminates program information to prospective students.

The position tracks recruitment progress, maintains admission records, and oversees the application journey from receipt to admission. Strong organization and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
• Experience: One year of experience, related to the statement of duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have the ability to work well in a fast paced environment and possess excellent acumen.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional level knowledge, advice, and coaching to students and prospective students regarding the institutional student admissions process for online programs.
• Interprets rules, regulations, procedures and policies to students and outside agencies.
• Answers questions in person, via email, faxes and over the telephone regarding program information, admissions requirement and process.
• Disseminates information to prospective students and other interested persons regarding programs, enrollment requirements, policies and procedures.
• Tracks student progress in recruitment pipeline and monitors students’ academic information and curricula.
• Maintains and records admission information and any communication to student into database.
• Oversees the application process from receipt of application to admitted.
• Review student transcripts for eligibility to online programs.
