Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking an Education Programs Coordinator in Pediatrics to oversee Medical Education Programs, Clerkships, and Residency activities. The role offers a hybrid schedule with onsite work at Campus and remote components.

Under supervision, you will coordinate Pediatrics clerkships, manage MedHub enrollments, support NBME exams, and assist residency programs in collaboration with leadership and GME. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus two years of related experience/training.
• Basic knowledge of relevant policies and regulatory requirements. Basic knowledge of health professions education industry.
• Basic knowledge of administrative analysis and operations research. Acquiring skills in developing and implementing processes and systems.
• Communication skills; includes verbal, written and active listening. Service oriented and responsive to questions and requests.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to develop working relationships within department and with learners.
• Excellent organizational skills, analytical, and demonstrated attention to detail.
• Knowledge of educational technology and systems. Ability to troubleshoot and triages related technology issues.
• Investigative, data analysis, and reporting skills. Ability to generate computer reports, checking for errors, correcting and submitting accurate reports.
• Ability to complete work and meet established deadlines in an accurate and timely manner.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and seek solutions to enhance user experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Pediatrics clerkships (Pediatrics 401 Clerkship and Pediatrics 427 Subinternship).
• Maintain student schedules and enrollments in MedHub; coordinate clinical site assignments.
• Assist with NBME shelf examinations: exam logistics, proctoring, and adherence to procedures.
• Communicate with students, faculty, residents, and site coordinators on policies and timelines.
• Manage operations of the Pediatric Residency Program in collaboration with leadership and GME Office.
• Coordinate program curriculum, learner scheduling, databases, and accreditation-related tasks.
