Job summary

The University of California, San Diego Health is seeking an Education Programs Coordinator in the Department of Pediatrics. This role provides coordination for Medical Education Programs, clerkships, and residency activities within a large academic health system.

The incumbent will manage clerkships, NBME exam logistics, learner scheduling, and program accreditation while communicating with students, faculty, and site coordinators. Hybrid onsite/remote work is available.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of related experience, education, or both.
• Broad knowledge of policies and health professions education.
• Ability to develop and implement processes and systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication and professional interaction.
• Interpersonal skills to work with learners, faculty, and staff.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with educational tech and databases.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Medical Education Programs for Pediatrics education.
• Manage Clerkships (Pediatrics 401) and Subinternships (Pediatrics 427).
• Maintain schedules and enrollments in MedHub; coordinate site assignments.
• Support NBME exams, proctoring, and testing procedures.
• Oversee Residency Program operations in collaboration with leadership.
