Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Driver Hiring Specialist to source, interview, and hire professional truck drivers for Penske Logistics. The role supports US and Canada operations and requires in-office presence in Phoenix two days a week.

You will manage the full recruiting lifecycle—from lead generation to offers and scheduling tests—via phone and email, leveraging Oracle and Salesforce, while ensuring compliance and diversity in the candidate slate.

Qualifications

• 2+ years supporting recruiting in a call center or customer-facing retail environment.
• Experience interviewing and hiring is highly preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, sales or contact information software, internet search and social media.
• Ability to listen, type and capture information simultaneously.
• Follow processes and procedures accurately.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of transportation industry a plus; bilingual (Spanish or French-Canadian) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source and manage driver leads via calls, email, social media and referrals.
• Present candidates with value proposition and available driver opportunities.
• Capture and manage driver information in the lead system (Salesforce).
• Qualify and engage leads for future opportunities.
• Take phone applications and ensure accuracy per DOT requirements.
• Manage candidates in Oracle and ensure timely follow-up.
• Conduct phone/video interviews and enforce minimum qualifications.
• Coordinate scheduling, driving records, background checks and road tests.
• Ensure compliance with hiring laws and promote diversity.
