Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing, based in Reading, PA, is seeking a Driver Hiring Specialist to source, interview, and hire professional truck drivers for Penske Logistics. The role remotely supports operations across the United States and Canada and involves full lifecycle recruiting including scheduling tests and background checks.

You will interact with field managers and candidates, manage data in Salesforce/Oracle, and ensure compliance while delivering a high-touch, personal candidate experience.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in recruiting support in a call center or customer-facing retail environment.
• Experience interviewing and hiring is highly preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, sales/CRM tools, internet search, and social media.
• Ability to listen, type, and accurately capture information.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent years of experience.
• Knowledge of the transportation industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Source and manage driver leads via inbound/outbound calls, email, social media, resumes, and referrals.
• Present value proposition and discuss driver opportunities after qualification.
• Capture and manage driver information in Salesforce lead system.
• Keep leads engaged for future opportunities if not meeting current openings.
• Take phone applications and ensure DOT/compliance.
• Manage candidates in Oracle per procedures.
• Schedule drug screening/physicals and road tests with clinics and managers.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state hiring laws.
• Support diversity and inclusion to ensure diverse candidate slates.
