Job summary

Tideworks seeks a Director-Corporate Controller in Seattle, WA. This hybrid role leads the accounting function, owns GAAP financial reporting, and drives internal controls and tax coordination in a PE-backed software company.

The role manages the close cycle, policy development, and cross-functional collaboration with FP&A, sales, HR, and legal. Significant experience in software revenue recognition and ERP systems is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline; CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years leading an accounting team.
• Expert knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ASC 606 and software revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting organization, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee close processes, financial statements, and internal controls; ensure audit readiness.
• Manage tax accounting coordination and collaboration with CFO and PE lenders.
• Drive policy, control improvements, and ERP transformation, including NetSuite migration.
• Partner with FP&A, Sales, HR, Legal, IT on financial planning and reporting.
