Job summary

McKinstry Co., LLC is hiring a Director, Accounting Operations in Seattle to lead AR and AP, drive performance, and strengthen controls. This role requires in-office presence 3–4 days weekly and reports to the Controller, building future leaders while ensuring scalable, compliant transactions.

You will oversee billing, collections, vendor payments, and P2P processes, while partnering across Finance to optimize working capital and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance operations leadership experience, incl. large transactional teams.
• Public accounting audit experience and strong internal controls knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and project-based accounting operations.
• Experience leading accounting operations in complex project environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AR and AP operations, billing, collections, cash application, vendor management, and payments.
• Establish KPIs, service levels, and operating rhythms to improve working capital and performance.
• Lead ERP implementation support, testing, and go-live activities.
• Develop and mentor managers and leaders, building a high-performing team.
• Ensure internal controls, risk management, and audit readiness across Accounting Ops.
