Job summary

Tideworks Technology in Seattle seeks a Director-Corporate Controller to oversee all accounting functions, GAAP reporting, and tax coordination in a private-equity-backed software company. Reports to the CFO and leads close processes, policy and control improvements.

Key duties include managing the general ledger, revenue recognition under ASC 606, contract accounting, internal controls, audits, and ERP migration from IFS to NetSuite. Strong leadership and 10+ years in accounting are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 4+ years leading an accounting team
• Experience in software/SaaS or technology-enabled services
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606

Responsibilities

• Lead GL, trial balance, close processes (5–7 business days).
• Own GAAP financial statements and management reporting.
• Oversee AP/AR, billing, payroll, tax reconciliations.
• Manage bank/cash reconciliations and treasury with CFO.
• Maintain close calendar, ownership matrix, and internal controls.
