Job summary

The City of Lincoln in Princeton, NJ seeks a Desktop Support Technician to provide frontline and second-line IT support across local and remote environments. You will troubleshoot hardware/software, document incidents in the IT ticketing system, and ensure timely issue resolution to maintain operational SLAs.

Qualified candidates will have 18+ months in desktop support, a degree in IT/CS, and strong knowledge of Windows environments, Active Directory, and Office 365.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
18+ months of hands-on desktop support or IT help desk experience.
Experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Office 365; familiarity with macOS is a plus.

Responsibilities

Deliver first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and applications via phone, remote tools, and on-site.
Log, track, and document incidents in the IT ticketing system to support SLAs.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 and Office 365; support Apple devices as needed.
Support printers, desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices; perform preventive maintenance.
Coordinate with vendors for complex AV issues and manage NOC communications.
