Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Design Engineer II (Mechanical) to lead mechanical design efforts for major New Product Development projects, focusing on sound and vibration optimization, testing, and supporting sustainability engineering. The role integrates CAD, FEA/CFD, and lab testing, with opportunities to contribute to VAVE/MCO initiatives and PPAP processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and development of industrial products or components.
• Strong SolidWorks and MS Office applications.
• Experience in sound and vibration or acoustic optimization.
• Experience in root cause analysis using formal problem solving methods.
• Knowledge in manufacturing processes, castings, fabrications, forgings, sheet metal parts, bearings, and/or fasteners.

Responsibilities

• Complete electric motor and motor control housing designs meeting market requirements and cost targets for NPD & existing products.
• Analyze, model and test mechanical systems to minimize noise and vibrations while optimizing acoustic performance.
• Identify and execute cost saving opportunities of existing products and designs.
• Manage engineering work and priorities of the project team to align with milestones and stretch goals.
