Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Design Engineer II to lead integration and development of brake and clutch products for a broad portfolio. You will work with cross‑functional teams in manufacturing and R&D and engage customers to define application requirements and usage.

The role emphasizes VAVE initiatives, design for quality and cost, and hands‑on building and troubleshooting new products. Occasional domestic travel up to 10% is required in this onsite role in Indiana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• 5+ years in product or process development of industrial products.
• Strong ability to read drawings and communicate clearly.
• Willingness to work hands-on to build and troubleshoot new products.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Design Engineering and cross-functional teams within the plant and R&D.
• Own content for the electromechanical brake product portfolio.
• Lead VAVE initiatives and product improvement projects in Design Engineering.
• Prepare customer reports documenting verification and validation activities for new designs, changes, or deviations.
• Work with customers to support new applications and custom design solutions.
• Create accurate engineering drawings for new or revised designs and apply GD&T principles.
• Develop product knowledge for customer applications and perform tolerance stack‑up calculations.
• Source, validate, and support components with test lab.
• Prepare BOMs and release ECNs.
• Utilize 3D CAD and FEA tools for design and analysis.
• Adhere to safety rules and travel up to 10% domestically.
