Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Sound Lab Engineering Co-op in Indiana to support acoustic and vibration testing, data collection, and product development. You will work with the Senior Analytical Engineer, using anechoic chambers and testing equipment to analyze performance and identify improvement opportunities.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, data interpretation, and collaborative problem solving within a mechanical/electrical engineering context. Onsite office presence is required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret technical data and communicate findings effectively.
• Self-directed work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support acoustic and vibration testing activities for customer returns, complaints, and product performance investigations.
• Assist with sound and vibration analysis for cost reduction projects.
• Conduct testing and data collection for new product development initiatives.
• Operate and support testing within the anechoic chamber and sound measurement environments.
• Utilize analytical software and testing equipment to collect, interpret, and report test results.
• Collaborate with the Senior Analytical Engineer to diagnose performance issues and identify root causes.
• Develop and execute test plans for acoustic and vibration evaluations.
• Analyze test data and prepare technical reports, summaries, and recommendations.
• Support prototype testing and validation activities.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation related to testing, analysis, and project activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and product development teams to support business objectives.
• Participate in continuous improvement focused on product performance and customer satisfaction.
