Job summary

Crescent Electric Supply Co. is hiring a Data Engineer to design, develop, and manage data pipelines that enable reliable analytics across Crescent, STWY, WMCK, and LOWE. You will architect Bronze/Silver/Gold layers, drive governance, and mentor SQL developers while partnering with BI and business stakeholders.

The role focuses on data quality, platform modernization, and AI-assisted engineering, with a hybrid work setup near Crescent branches. Applicants near Indiana preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/IS or related field.
• 5-7+ years of data engineering/ETL or database development experience.
• Experience in multi-entity or multi-ERP environments is a plus.
• Strong SQL/persistence experience in relational databases; NoSQL knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines from source systems into the data platform.
• Develop and maintain Bronze/Silver/Gold data models and schemas for a single source of truth.
• Lead platform modernization for Google Cloud migration and governed processes.
• Mentor SQL Developers and establish SQL development standards.
• Collaborate with DBAs, BI Developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into data designs.
• Document data flows, transformations, and architecture.
