Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Telecommunication Project Lead to design and lead data center systems including structured cabling, wireless, AV, and low voltage networks. You’ll oversee BIM designers, manage specifications, and coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates have a technical or associate degree, 4+ years in telecom design, and knowledge of ANSI/TIA, BICSI standards, and Navisworks.

Qualifications

• Technical or associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience actively designing or leading designs for Telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
• Familiarity with Navisworks.
• Strong project management and coordination with disciplines, PMs and clients.
• Experience in responding to RFPs and creating project budgets/schedules.
• Credential as an RCDD or potential within 1 year of hire.
• Experience with other low voltage systems (Security, A/V, Wireless).
• Electrical Engineering degree or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Leading BIM designers in preparation of engineering drawings.
• DIV 27 specification creation, or modification.
• Conduct site visits.
• Review technical documents.
• Mentored by more senior team leaders.
• Managing the relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
