Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Telecommunication Project Lead to design and manage data center telecom systems, including structured cabling, wireless, and low-voltage solutions. You will lead BIM designers, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and drive projects from concept through completion with a focus on schedule, budget, and client satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in telecom design leadership, knowledge of ANSI/TIA/BICSI standards, and familiarity with Navisworks.

Qualifications

• Technical or associate’s degree required; Electrical Eng degree preferred.
• 4+ years actively designing or leading telecom structured cabling designs.
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 and telecom cabling.
• Experience with Navisworks and BIM coordination.
• Strong project management and client coordination skills.
• Experience in responding to RFPs and budgeting.
• Experience creating and maintaining project schedules.
• Identifying and mitigating project risk.
• RCDD credential or plan to attain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM designers in engineering drawing preparation.
• Create or modify DIV 27 specifications.
• Conduct site visits and review technical documents.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and cross-disciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior staff and manage client relationships.
• Ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.
