Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Telecommunication Project Lead to design and manage data center communications including structured cabling, wireless, AV, and other low-voltage systems. The role blends design leadership with client collaboration and project oversight.

You will guide BIM designers, review technical docs, develop budgets and schedules, and coordinate with vendors and clients. This hybrid US-based position offers growth, team mentorship, and diverse project exposure.

Qualifications

• Technical or associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience actively designing or leading designs for Telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
• Thorough knowledge of NFPA 70 and how it applies to telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Familiarity working with Navisworks.
• Self-motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers and clients.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Familiarity with responding to RFPs.
• Experienced in creating a budget for a project.
• Experienced in creating and maintaining a project schedule.
• Experienced in Identifying And Mitigating Company Risk.
• Ideally, You’ll Also Have Experience Working On Other Low Voltages Systems Which Include Security, Audio/Visual, Wireless.
• Electrical Engineering degree, or related discipline

Responsibilities

• Leading BIM designers in preparation of engineering drawings.
• DIV 27 specification creation, or modification.
• Conduct site visits.
• Review technical documents.
• You will also learn from more senior team leaders and will be mentored.
• Managing the relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
