Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Telecommunication Project Lead for the data center market, focusing on structured cabling, wireless, and low voltage systems. You will lead design efforts, coordinate BIM designers, and ensure timely, compliant project delivery.

This role requires technical/associate degree, 4+ years in telecom design, and expertise in ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and NFPA 70. You’ll mentor peers and manage key stakeholder relationships while advancing projects.

Qualifications

• Technical or associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience actively designing or leading design for telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 and how it applies to telecom cabling systems.
• Familiarity with Navisworks and BIM workflows.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines and respond to RFPs.

Responsibilities

• Leading BIM designers in preparation of engineering drawings.
• Create or modify DIV 27 specifications.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and ensure design fidelity.
• Review technical documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Learn from senior team members and receive mentorship.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
