Job summary

Jacobs is hiring a Telecommunication Project Lead to design and manage data center cabling, wireless, AV, and related low‑voltage systems. You will guide BIM designers, review specs, conduct site visits, and coordinate with clients and vendors to ensure on‑time delivery.

The role requires a technical or Associate degree, 4+ years in telecom design, strong standards knowledge, and budgeting/scheduling abilities. A flexible hybrid US work model is offered.

Qualifications

• Technical or associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience actively designing or leading designs for Telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
• Thorough knowledge of NFPA 70 and how it applies to telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Familiarity working with Navisworks
• Self-motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers and clients.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Familiarity with responding to RFPs
• Experience in budgeting for a project.
• Experience in creating and maintaining a project schedule
• Experience Identifying And Mitigating Company Risk
• Credential as an RCDD or can attain it within 1 year after hire
• Ideally, you’ll also have: experience with other low voltage systems (security, audio/visual, wireless)
• Electrical Engineering degree or related discipline

Responsibilities

• Leading BIM designers in preparation of engineering drawings.
• DIV 27 specification creation or modification.
• Conduct site visits.

• Mentor junior team members.
