Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Telecom Section Manager to lead the telecommunications scope on multiple data center projects. You will oversee design work, coordinate SME’s, and ensure on-time delivery while collaborating with clients and vendors.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years leading telecom structured cabling designs, knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards, and experience with Revit/Navisworks. This hybrid role offers US-wide office/remote work and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical engineering or related discipline; if no degree, a high school diploma may be considered.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience actively leading telecom structured cabling designs.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience managing a small team.
• Credential as an RCDD.
• Experience with data center construction and ANSI/TIA, BICSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead a team of leads across projects and clients.
• Forecasting and staffing resources for multiple projects.
• Budgeting resources for several projects.
• Guide project leads through the design process and specification reviews.
• Conduct site visits and review technical documents.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure deadlines.
• Coordinate with telecom leads and department manager to meet timelines.
