Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Telecom Section Manager to lead telecommunications scope on data center projects across the United States. This role involves guiding the design process, coordinating with SME leads, and ensuring on-time delivery while collaborating with clients and internal teams.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years leading telecom cabling designs, a PE license or RCDD, and hands-on experience with data centers and ANSI/TIA/BICSI standards. Hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level requirements for data center telecom design leadership.
• Minimum 4 years leading designs for Telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Minimum 2 years managing a small team.
• Credential as an RCDD.
• Experience in data center construction and applying ANSI/TIA & BICSI standards.
• Familiarity with Revit, Navisworks, and Revizto.
• Ability to coordinate with other disciplines, PMs and clients.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Experience responding to RFPs and budgeting for projects.
• Experience creating and maintaining project schedules.
• Experience identifying and mitigating company risk.

Responsibilities

• Organizing and leading project teams across multiple data center telecom projects.
• Forecasting, staffing and budgeting resources for several simultaneous programs.
• Overseeing design work with SME leads, project leads and designers.
• Resolving issues with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensuring timely delivery of designs and documentation.
