Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Telecom Section Manager to lead telecommunications design on data center projects across the United States, in a hybrid work model. You will oversee a team of leads, coordinate with project managers and clients, and drive scope from concept through documentation.

The role requires an associate degree, 4+ years leading telecom designs, 2+ years managing a small team, and credentials like RCDD. Proficiency in Revit/Navisworks/Revizto and NFPA/ANSI/TIA standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
• 4+ years leading designs for telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• 2+ years managing a small team.
• RCDD credential preferred or required in some roles.
• Experience with data centers and related standards (ANSI/TIA, NFPA 70).
• Familiar with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Revizto.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling and risk mitigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead a team of leads across multiple projects.
• Forecast projects and allocate staffing resources.
• Budget resources for several projects concurrently.
• Mentor project leads throughout design processes.
• Review DIV 27 specs and modify as needed.
• Conduct site visits and review technical documents.
• Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure deadlines are met through proactive communication.
