Job summary

Cloudflare is looking for an Engineering Manager, Data Center Operations to build and run a distributed team responsible for new US data center sites. You’ll own end-to-end lifecycles from greenfield builds to production, partnering with vendors to scale the footprint with reliability.

You’ll manage on-site DC Engineers across sites, define coverage, escalation, and incident response while ensuring compliance and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data center operations leadership and on-site team management.
• Experience with multi-site data centers and vendor management.
• Hands-on with IT hardware, cabling, power, cooling, and DCIM systems.

Responsibilities

• Hire and develop Data Center Engineers across US sites.
• Establish 24x7 on-call rotation, coverage models, and incident SLAs.
• Coordinate with colocation providers, vendors, and partners to restore service quickly and document RCA findings.
