Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Data Center Operations Engineer to maintain and improve our global network infrastructure. You will work with SRE and Network Engineering teams to ensure 24/7 availability across 330+ cities and 125+ countries, collaborating with hardware vendors, datacenters and ISPs.

You will automate tasks, craft documentation, and manage remote contractors while applying best practices in DCIM, deployment and migration projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with data center operations and networked infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage remote contractors and vendors.
• Strong Linux system administration skills (4+ years).
• Familiarity with Juniper, Cisco, and DWDM equipment.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Comfort with on-call rotations and fast-changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network Engineering and SRE teams.
• Maintain data center environment availability across multiple sites.
• Automate repetitive tasks and improve documentation with AI tools.
• Create and maintain SOPs, MOPs and related documentation.
• Support network infrastructure in remote facilities as needed.
• Provide feedback to internal teams and external vendors.
