Job summary

Cloudflare seeks a resilient Data Center Operations engineer to maintain and improve the global network infrastructure. You will collaborate with SRE, Network Engineering, and vendors to ensure 24x7 availability across a vast geo-span and drive automation that speeds up deployment and troubleshooting.

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing remote contractors, standing up infrastructure in remote colocation facilities, and contributing to process consistency across regions.

Qualifications

• Experience with Juniper, Cisco and DWDM network equipment.
• Minimum of 4 years experience of Linux systems administration.
• Experience managing and instructing remote contractors.
• Familiarity with work in data center operations and colocation facilities.
• Experience running and improving operational processes and automation tooling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network Engineering and SRE to manage data center tasks across 330+ cities and 125+ countries.
• Maintain Data Center environment operational availability.
• Leverage AI tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve documentation and troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain documentation, SOPs and MOPs.
• Support and configure network infrastructure where required.
• Provide feedback to internal teams to improve tools and partnerships.
