Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to lead fire protection design for data centers and mission-critical facilities in a U.S. design & engineering context. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams and deliver construction-ready packages while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires PE licensure, a background in data center environments, and strong client engagement. Occasional site visits and a hybrid work setup support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• PE license in Fire Protection (U.S.) is required.
• Experience designing fire protection systems for data centers/mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire protection design for data center and mission-critical projects.
• Develop construction-ready design packages with drawings and specifications.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across MEPT teams.
• Coordinate with MEP teams to integrate fire protection in high-density environments.
• Support proposals, cost estimates, and client engagement.
• Conduct site assessments and fire protection studies for data centers.
